Compute follows the cheap land: SoftBank, SC ZEUS and Robust HPC target four ASEAN markets — TNGlobal
The three signed a memorandum effective 1 August covering Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. SC ZEUS builds and operates the halls, Robust HPC runs the GPU clusters, SB Telecom handles fit-out and connectivity, on liquid cooling and 800 VDC architecture.
Positive-sum angle: Splitting the stack into land, silicon, and connectivity lets each partner specialise rather than finance the whole tower alone. Grid operators, cooling vendors, and regional model builders all gain a customer, and capacity lands closer to the users who actually generate the traffic.
What's the impact: SEA founders training or serving models should negotiate GPU-as-a-Service terms while these halls are still selling into empty racks. Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City buyers get data residency and latency that Singapore can no longer price competitively.
