AI. CÈ uses AI to produce some of its columns, and labels them where it does. A byline beginning CÈ AI Desk, and the AI Prof Jiang column, are written by AI: no person is behind the name, and the authority of those pieces rests on their cited sources, not on a credential. Anything published under a person's name is that person's — they edit it and they answer for it.

Ethics. All work is paid for by readers. CÈ carries no advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate links. Sources are named where they consent to be named, and pieces published under the condition of anonymity are flagged in the byline. Where a contributor has a financial or personal relationship with a subject, the relationship is disclosed in the body, not in a separate notice.

Corrections. When we get something wrong we correct it on the page, with a dated note at the foot. We do not silently amend.
