What we collect, and where it goes.
CÈ is published by CÈ Media Pte Ltd in Singapore. This page describes every place the site touches your data. It is short because the site does little.
We carry no advertising, no sponsored content, and no affiliate links. There are no ad networks, no tracking pixels, and no data brokers here. We do not sell, rent, or trade anything we hold.
Reading. You can read CÈ without giving us anything. No account, no email, no sign-in.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views. It records the page path, the full URL, the page title, and the coarse technical and geographic detail Google derives from the request, such as browser and country. It sets cookies in your browser to tell repeat visits apart. We use it to learn which pieces get read; we do not use it to build profiles of individual readers, and we have no ability to match a page view to a name. Google processes this data as a third party under its own terms. Browser-level blocking of analytics costs you nothing on this site — everything still works.
Email signup. If you subscribe to the daily brief, we store three things: your email address, a short label recording which page you signed up from, and the timestamp. That record is written as a file in our private source repository on GitHub, and the editor receives a notification on Telegram containing your address. When the daily email sends, delivery runs through Resend, which necessarily receives your address in order to deliver the message. That is the whole path. We do not add you to any other list, and we do not pass your address to anyone outside that chain.
Interviews. If you accept an interview invitation, the conversation is recorded as a transcript and stored in our source repository. Interviews exist to be published, so assume anything you say in one may appear in an article under your name — that is the point of agreeing to it. You see and correct your own pieces before they run.
Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the email. That is the only way to answer it.
Retention and removal. We keep subscriber records until you ask us to remove them, and we act on the request rather than deferring it. Write to hello@ce-media.asia and say what you want deleted. You can ask for a copy of what we hold on you by the same address. Unsubscribing from the daily email removes you from the list; if you also want the stored record erased, say so and we will erase it.
Data protection officer. Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, CÈ Media Pte Ltd designates editor Jane Ng as its data protection officer. She is reachable at jn@ce-media.asia. Access, correction, and withdrawal-of-consent requests all reach her there.
Children. CÈ is written for working adults and is not directed at children.
Changes. When this policy changes we update this page and change the date below. We do not silently amend, here or anywhere else.
Questions about any of the above reach the desk at hello@ce-media.asia.
