How CÈ is made.

CÈ publishes daily: articles across seven sections, a morning line with an essay, an evening Market Intel brief, and the SEA Deal Ticker. Some of it is written by people, some by AI, and the difference is always on the byline. This page is the contract behind all of it.

The three-source floor. Every generated article carries at least three sources: live URLs, each paired in our records with the specific claim it backs. The writer must have opened each page; a fact that cannot be traced to a page the writer read is cut. Interview-backed pieces substitute a recorded, consented transcript as the primary source and still cite external URLs for claims beyond it.

The commit gate. Sources are not decoration — they are checked by machine at publication time. Our pipeline fetches every source URL before a piece can enter the repository; a dead or fabricated link aborts the publication. The "Sources & verification" panel at the foot of each article is that audit trail, rendered.

Bylines. Three humans write and answer for work under their own names: Jane Ng, Changing Phua, and Charlie Boy. Everything machine-written is bylined CÈ AI Desk (Compute, Founders, Health, Stoicism) or AI Prof Jiang — names that are openly not people. A generated draft is never published under a human's name; a human byline means that person edited the piece and stands behind it.

Where AI sits. AI drafts the labelled desks' pieces, the daily briefs, and the first cut of interview write-ups. Every draft passes through a human-configured review gate before publication, and the daily briefs' items each carry their source link inline. The authority of an AI-desk piece rests entirely on its cited sources; it claims no credential and no lived experience.

Interviews. CÈ interviews are conducted with consent, on the record, through our interview desk. Subjects know they are speaking for publication; quotes come from the transcript, not from memory. Where a piece draws on a transcript, the source panel says so and names the interviewee.

Money. All work is paid for by readers. No advertising, no sponsored content, no affiliate links, no exceptions. Nobody covered in CÈ has paid to be covered, and nobody can.

Corrections. When we get something wrong we correct it on the page with a dated note at the foot; we do not silently amend. Corrections reach the desk at hello@ce-media.asia.
