The AI cloud's first Asian address is Jakarta, not Singapore: CoreWeave contracts 360MW
The US AI cloud will own and operate three Indonesian data centres carrying 360MW of contracted IT power, online in 2028 — its first facilities anywhere in Asia-Pacific.
Positive-sum angle: That is about a tenth of CoreWeave's contracted power. Indonesia has stopped being the overflow market for capacity Singapore will not permit, and become the first stop.
