ADA, headquartered in Singapore and Malaysia with 1,300 staff and 1,500 clients, takes Algonomy's real-time retail decisioning and its 400 brands. The combined group sells across 34 markets. Terms undisclosed.

Positive-sum angle: Retail AI hardened on Southeast Asia's fragmented commerce now ships to American, Gulf and European brands — capability the region imported for a decade and has started to export.

OCBC arranged MYR 325 million ($79.5M) for ESS Bahau's 100MW/400MWh system, the first project financed under MyBeST, the Energy Commission's competitive tender for grid-scale storage. Operation targets July 2027.

Positive-sum angle: Storage is what makes intermittent solar bankable. Every megawatt-hour Johor can hold overnight is a megawatt the data-centre build no longer takes from households at dusk.

Asian Bulk Logistics closed its purchase of Engage Marine, which runs harbour and terminal towage at Australian ports for vessels up to Capesize. It is ABL's fourth Australian acquisition since 2023.
