Sorting 10,000 customer messages for under US$1? Cloudflare’s open Clef model reads and tags them — MarkTechPost
Cloudflare released Clef, an open model that answers set questions about a message, such as which team should handle it. Hosted, it costs US$0.24 per million tokens, the word pieces models bill by; the download is free for commercial use.
Positive-sum angle: Clef returns fixed answers with a probability for each, never free text, so its output drops straight into a spreadsheet or a helpdesk rule. Helpdesk makers, agencies and shop owners all gain when sorting the inbox costs cents instead of a junior hire’s hours.
What's the impact: A Manila online shop with 300 chats a day could tag each one as refund, delivery or complaint for under US$1 per 10,000 messages, at about 200 tokens each. Nobody has wired it into Shopee or Lazada chat yet; that plug-in is the opening.
