StarHub paid US$82 million for MyRepublic's broadband, so why buy its mobile arm too?
StarHub told the exchange on 8 October it will buy MyRepublic's Singapore mobile business, price undisclosed, and keep the brand. It paid US$82 million (S$105 million) for MyRepublic's broadband arm in August 2025. The 4G users already ride its network.
Positive-sum angle: Every independent mobile brand in Singapore now has a buyer with a network and a cheque. Anyone running a niche plan on a rented network gets an exit price set by the landlord.
