Priced a third below its ceiling: GCash owner Mynt's US$840 million IPO opens to retail
Mynt priced its Philippine IPO at US$0.11 (₱6.60) a share after a US$0.17 (₱10) ceiling, raising US$840 million (₱53 billion). Cornerstone funds took 69% of the shares. Retail orders run until 12 October; trading starts 20 October as GCASH.
Positive-sum angle: A Filipino with a brokerage account can buy GCash until 12 October at the price the cornerstones paid. A Manila founder's next deck opens with a listed comparable priced by the market, not by a prospectus.
