Amazon's US$6 billion Malaysia cloud plan gets its land: US$75M for a Sunsuria plot in Sepang
Amazon Data Services Malaysia agreed to buy about 184,000 square metres in Dengkil, Selangor, from developer Sunsuria for US$75 million (RM316.84 million), about 3% above valuation. The data-centre deal should complete by mid-2027, pending state consent.
Positive-sum angle: Sunsuria expects a one-off gain of about US$12 million. Builders, power contractors and cooling suppliers around Sepang now know where the next data-centre job lands.
