KKR sold its entire 19.9 percent stake in power producer First Gen to Angsana Finance for US$410 million (₱25.77 billion). A month earlier, parent First Philippine Holdings rejected KKR's bid for 8.43 percent more.

IFC absorbs the first US$5.0 million of defaults on a US$110 million GXBank loan book for micro and small businesses without credit history or collateral. It is IFC's first deal with a Malaysian digital bank.

Positive-sum angle: A Malaysian trader turned away for lack of collateral now has a licensed lender whose World Bank loss buffer was built for exactly that file.

Tesla Motors Vietnam LLC filed on 12 September in Ho Chi Minh City with US$3.0 million (VND77.7 billion) in charter capital, licensed to sell vehicles and parts. VinFast sold 20,161 of Vietnam's 48,484 cars in August.

Positive-sum angle: Vietnamese charging installers and parts importers have a second EV brand to pitch, and the pitch window closes once Tesla picks its showroom partners.
