Tencent Cloud will open up to three availability zones in Johor, wiring Malaysia into a network of 66 zones across 23 regions, and train more than 1,000 people with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Positive-sum angle: Each hyperscaler that lands in Johor drops the latency floor for Malaysian and Singaporean builders who until now had to host their workloads somewhere else.
