Schooling becomes infrastructure in Vietnam: KKR-backed EQuest and Phu My Hung commit $40M to a 2,500-seat K-12 campus

EQuest, the KKR-backed education group, and developer Phu My Hung will co-develop a $40M K-12 complex in Bac Ninh's Hong Hac City — 22,000 sqm for 2,500 students, piling begun 18 July, first intake targeted 2028.

Positive-sum angle: Master-planned 'education cities' let a developer, a curriculum operator and private equity compound the same land, turning Vietnam's demographic bulge into Cambridge-pathway classrooms instead of leaving it to a strained public system.
