Trusted the founder’s numbers? Four Jakarta venture executives went to prison for the US$25 million they never checked.
MDI Ventures and BRI Ventures, the venture arms of Indonesia’s state telecom and state bank, put US$25 million into TaniHub on numbers nobody independently checked. In June 2026, a Jakarta court convicted four of their executives for exactly that omission.
