A US$77 million half-year loss, so why does Singapore's DayOne file for Nasdaq now?
DayOne, the data-centre builder spun out of China's GDS, filed on 5 October to list on Nasdaq under the ticker DODC. First-half revenue was US$512 million against a US$77.2 million net loss, up from US$12.6 million. It holds 4.6GW of power across ten markets, 2.3GW already booked by customers.
Southeast Asia raised US$7.4 billion in H1. One data-centre operator took US$4.5 billion of it.
Of the US$7.4 billion the region raised in six months, US$4.5 billion went to one Singapore-domiciled data-centre operator heading for a US$20 billion listing, and almost everything it is building sits across the Causeway.
